Side Project: Content Engine and Distribution System
A content engine and distribution system with my opinion at the center
A strategy, one job for every account, rebuilt profiles and a daily X routine where I give the opinion and AI does the rest.
What It Is
This is the system behind my content: who it is for, where each post goes, and a daily routine that keeps me posting without handing my opinions to AI. It has run every day since 2026-10-15. It covers the strategy, one job for every account I post from, rebuilt X and LinkedIn profiles with their images, a twice-daily brief of conversations worth joining on X, and a weekly record of everything I write that keeps my voice rules current.
I think of it like a sous-chef. The sous-chef shops, preps, plates and cleans up. I decide what the dish is and taste it before it leaves the kitchen. The system never posts a take I have not given it.
Why I Built It
My content serves two kinds of buyers. Foreign tech companies hire me for go-to-market work or full-time remote roles. Nigerians buy my Academy programs to build an income online. Each group needs different proof, and my accounts were not set up to give each one theirs. I also posted irregularly, because starting every post from scratch took time away from client work and job applications.
AI alone did not fix that. An AI quote workflow tends to restate the post and sound like AI, because it has no record of what the person believes. I wanted AI to do the finding, drafting, posting and logging, while every opinion stays mine.
What It Does
I started with text quotes on X, because a quote on a post people are already arguing about puts my take inside a conversation that is already moving. Video comes later, for the takes that get a response. Each account has one job. @realjaymes on X carries my takes. LinkedIn is professional proof for buyers and hiring managers. jamestalksmarketing on Instagram, Threads and TikTok sells to Nigerians, and the Marketing In Action and Wholesome Girlies accounts carry the brands.
A visit from a quote has to land somewhere useful. I rewrote my X bio and pinned thread to say what I do for each audience and rebuilt the LinkedIn Featured lineup so proof comes first. I built the X header, LinkedIn cover and Featured cards as web code and rendered them as images, so they stay on brand and I can change the words without redrawing the design.
At 08:00 and 20:00 Lagos time, a scheduled Claude run reads X in Chrome and sends me 8 to 10 posts on Telegram. Each one is labelled by the audience it would attract and comes with angles to spark my own. I reply with a number and my view. Claude writes three versions in my voice, each with a simple analogy, and Codex reviews them. If I send my own text, it goes out untouched. Claude posts through my own Chrome, logs each quote with my angle and its 48-hour numbers, and amplifies new Marketing In Action and Wholesome Girlies posts from my accounts. Ideas that come up while I work with Claude get flagged in one line and go into my Idea Bank once I approve them.
Every Sunday, a sync rebuilds an archive of my tweets. Claude collects tweet IDs from my profile in Chrome, and a Python script fetches each tweet from FxTwitter, a free public service, so no paid X API is involved. The backfill reached December 2013 with 1,323 tweets, 1,312 of them written by me. Only tweets I wrote count as samples for my voice rules, and after 20 new ones the sync tells me a voice refresh is due. When Claude is unavailable, two ChatGPT projects carry the same voice rules and archive. Signal to Build, my long-form series, runs on the same voice and posting rules.
What It Taught Me
Getting AI to draft was easy. Keeping my point of view in charge took the real design work. The first rule that made the drafts usable was that no draft starts until I have given my angle. The second was keeping AI drafts out of the voice samples, because rules trained on AI versions of me would drift toward the AI's habits over time.
Small platform details mattered more than I expected. A quote only counts when it goes through the post's own Repost and Quote buttons, and a like reads as agreement, so I only like posts I agree with. I had Codex review the sync before launch. It found eight issues, and I fixed all eight.
There are no reach or engagement results yet. The 48-hour numbers fill in as the quotes age, and I will add them here when there is enough to say something honest. Next come a takes bank of my positions with their evidence, and talking-head videos made from the strongest quotes.
