Side Project — Marketing Agent Skills
From saved ChatGPT prompts to AI agents that take real action
31 free Claude Code skills for marketing work, picked from the private library of more than 90 skills I use myself. This is how I went from saved prompts to instructions that work across different AI tools.
What It Is
Marketing Agent Skills is a free collection of instruction files that help Claude Code do marketing work. It started as a pile of 46 skills. I cut it down to 19 to make it easier for other people to use, and it has since grown to 31 published skills. They cover writing copy, improving sales pages, showing up in search results, explaining what a product does, running paid ads, and building marketing tools. My private version has grown past 90 skills, including skills for building n8n automations and making AI videos.
Why I Built It
I started inside ChatGPT, building custom GPTs and saving long prompts for the marketing work I do every day. That worked for a while. Then I needed the AI to open a browser, read a real webpage, edit a file, and run a script. Claude Code was the first tool I used that could do those things inside my usual work tools. I moved my workflow there and turned what I knew into reusable instruction files called skills.
An AI model already knows a lot about marketing in general, it's read most of the internet. What it doesn't have is my opinions, the specific calls I've made after eight years of actually doing this work, the kind of judgment that's right for how I work and wrong in ways a generic answer never warns you about. A skill is where I write down my own opinions as a practitioner, not generic advice, so the AI reasons the way I actually would, not the way any marketer might.
What It Does
Each skill is one file kept under 500 lines. Longer reference material sits in separate files and only loads when a task needs it, which keeps things fast. I picked the skills in the public GitHub folder because they can help other marketers. You can install them by copying the GitHub folder or running the SkillKit installer. Once installed, Claude Code chooses the right skill for what you ask it to do. That could be writing a sales page, checking a website's search problems, or building a pricing plan.
What It Taught Me
I learned that a skill can work with more than one AI tool. The same file can run inside Claude Code or OpenAI's Codex command-line tool. It can also become a ChatGPT Project because each one can read the same plain instructions. That changed how I write down what I know. I can write the instructions once and use them in different places. These tools can also connect to browsers, databases, and other software. A skill can publish a page, take a screenshot, look something up in a database, or save a code change. Eight years of marketing knowledge that lived in my head now works like software. I can share it with someone else or use it on a real task.
