Hello Taptap Send
I ran 26 searches a Nigerian sender would type, from the UK, US and Canada, and asked three AI assistants the same questions. taptapsend.com made Google's top 20 once. I wrote up what ranks instead and the pages that would change it, from Lagos.

Brand search for Taptap beats LemFi's in the UK and the US. Comparison searches go the other way. For "send money to nigeria," "pound to naira" or "send money to gtbank," Google and its AI Overview send people to Wise, Remitly, LemFi and WorldRemit. I'd start with exactly what I've already drafted: an audit of 26 of those searches and 15 AI answers, with a screenshot of every one and a page plan. Read the draft →
The pattern holds everywhere I looked. Where Taptap has a page that answers the question, Google cites it: the Nigeria page for "best app" in the UK, the security page for "is Taptap Send safe." Where there is no page, the answer goes to whoever wrote one.
I'd own that for the Nigeria corridor: sender-country pages, a naira rate hub, bank pages and a comparison page, measured weekly on the same searches and on organic installs by country. None of the roles open today has search in scope, so it adds a channel for the General Manager and central growth without taking anything from them.
Start with the corridor audit, built from live Google results in the UK, US and Canada and from three AI assistants, with the page plan and the weekly measure attached.
I ran the same kind of check for Binance across six African markets in four languages, and the pattern matched: where a company has a plain local page, AI answers use it. At Reform, an AI-assisted SEO engine and integration pages lifted non-branded organic traffic 48%. At Distrobird, I led five writers and two editors to rankings on 3,000+ competitive keywords in three months.
I built growth at Bujeti (YC W23) and product marketing at Bento Africa, both Nigerian fintechs. I live in Lagos, and my weekly newsletter is read 46% in Nigeria and 32% in the US.
If this is the right problem for you, I'd like to talk about it directly.
